The Leather
I source my leather and many of my supplies from Oregon Leather Co. in downtown Portland, a family-owned Portland (and Eugene) institution since 1908. Most of the leather I purchase from OLC comes from S.B. Foot Tanning Co. in Red Wing, Minnesota.
Because leather is a natural product, each batch of leather that’s delivered to OLC is slightly different in color and texture, making each bag even that much more unique. The leather will change over time due to how it’s worn, maintained and handled. Scratches, scuffs, body oils, weather and other conditions all affect how the leather ages. The good news is that all of these things add character and spice to the leather, creating a product that you’ll grow to love even more with time and wear.
